I have today been working on a personally owned database that I have of grave markers in the churchyard of Eling Church. Not the Cemetery, but the old graveyard. I have these two entries if they are of any use. Sarah SILLEY Wife of George SILLEY Born 1749 Buried 10th Sept 1819 aged 73 Plot number 314 George SILLEY Husband of Sarah SILLEY Born 1775 Buried 22nd March 1843 aged 68 Plot 314 There are obviously some questions surrounding Sarah's age at death and whether this was husband and wife, bearing in mind the age differences, but it is nothing new for a widowed woman to marry a man young enough to be her son, and they were buried in the same plot. Or the original transcriber in the 1980's made a mistake. The reference, however, might give the researcher, whoever he or she was, somewhere else to look. ie Eling Parish Records.
