I'm hoping someone can help me sort out a family of TURNERs in Kingsclere/Bishops Sutton. I found Daniel TURNER b. 1804 Childrey, Berks on the 1861 Census living in Shrewton, Wiltshire. With him was his wife Mary b. abt 1805 Chute, Wiltshire and his daughter Hannah LEVERSUCH b. abt 1832 in Ecckingswell, Hampshire and two of her children. Assuming that Hannah was Hannah TURNER, there is a baptism for Hannah TURNER b. 15 Jan 1832 in Kingsclere, Hampshire - very close to Ecckingswell. I used the IGI and I found 10 children born to Daniel and Mary TURNER in Kingsclere and Bishops Sutton. The years range from 1828 to 1844. I'm thinking that the date of baptism/birth for Hannah TURNER matches the 1861 Census and the IGI. There is also a marriage of Daniel TURNER to Mary IVALL on 27 November 1832 in Bishops Sutton, Hampshire. Even though this marriage is after the first child in 1828, it is a strong possibility. But I cannot understand why Mary's place of birth is Chute, Wiltshire. I'm wondering if (a) I have it all wrong (b) Daniel married a second time to someone named Mary. Daniel is my 3xgreat uncle and I am trying to piece together the TURNERs of Childrey, Berkshire. This one seems to have strayed from home. So if anyone can enlighten me with a lookup on the 1851 Census or Parish Records, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Susan
