Hi May Thank you for your reply, what you've said exactly proves my point, I would never say "you have" sounding like "your've", I say it sounding like yoo've same as you, and I have never been away from the Eastern States of Australia. Maureen has though she is much travelled thanks to her skills in the lawn bowls world. She has agreed in that she has not detected any noticeable difference in accent all over Australia including Tasmania. Hey it seems that one the natives is getting restless again, perhaps we should drop this thread before we get into trouble, what we are discussing now is not probably strictly to do with Hampshire Life exactly, but it is resulting from our English ancestry of which we are justly proud. We thank Chris and Caroline for allowing us the indulgence. We have thoroughly enjoyed the debate. (see we are self regulating).
