Many thanks indeed to everyone who offered advice both on and off list concerning my little 'deletion' problem. After spending many hours trying to retrieve it I have decided to call it a day. The folder contained contacts re family surnames, useful sites saved from the list etc. but I had backed it up in November so have not lost everything. All the advice received from kind listers shows once more what a great list this is. Thanks to all regards June Vasey in Edinburgh
