Hi, We have it the same here in Canada. I remember a few years ago being amazed when two oriental girls were chattering away in French. I should not have been surprised as French is the main language of Quebec. Then seeing that China has so many languages of its own, perhaps for these girls -- the French language was the great equalizer. Ken and I were in Venice looking in the shops (I dragged him there) this man and the owner of the shop were talking in Italian. The fellow said "chiao" and left but as he stepped outside, he met one of his pals. Those two continued in Liverpudlian.
