Hi Len. I remember visiting the Fairy Aviation sports ground, about 1960ish. Team from RAF Thorney Island accepted a invitation to play cricket. Had a good time there. They were very hospitable & shouted us a good tea afterwards. On reflection, they were not as good as their Brass Band at playing. Take care.
