Just a reminder as to the surnames I am researching: FREEMANTLE - areas I know they resided - Porchester, Fareham, Winchester, East Stratton, Micheldever. Also spelled FREEMANTELL in some records. SHIRVILLE, SHIRVALL, SHIRVALLE, SHERVALL, ETC. - The only area I know they resided is Fareham. This ancestor was born 1801 in Fareham and had moved to London by 1833. His name was John and his parents were John and Jane. Family stories had the family coming from France originally. John was a master bootmaker.
