My ancestor Sarah was the dau. of JOSEPH ABRAHAM, a coachman of Romsey Abbey.She married FREDERICK JOHN WALTER Jan 10, 1860. He died May 10, 1860. She gave birth to FREDERICK CHARLES WALTER, Oct. 18, 1860. She was 26 he was 62! He had worked at the Royal Hospital Chelsea as a pensions clerk. Probably retired back to Romsey. He died in Cupernham. Death cert. signed by a MARY RUSSEN, possibly a dau. of his 1st marriage or a nurse. He and Sarah lived at Mill Cottage, Romsey, where she ran a shop/bakery after his death.
