Trying to locate a Highcliffe (possibly House, or Place) in any case a mansion type property inhabited by the Marchioness of Waterford c1867 onwards. In the 1875 directory it just says Highcliffe. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks Helena
You are referring to Highcliffe Castle, in Dorset. Louisa, Marchioness of Waterford, inherited it in 1867.
