> Is a "Provisions Dealer" the same as a grocer? In a word, yes! Davy Cannon, Dorchester, Dorset.
In a way yes it is A grocer will sell any form of grocery item including dairy products and vegetables whereas a Greengrocer only sells vegetables and fruit. A Provisions dealer is mainly things like dairy products, but also includes bacon and cooked meats.
