    1. [HAMPSHIRE-LIFE] Duke of Wellington
    2. Hi everyone can anyone tell me if the Duke of Wellington had a home in Hampshire? I know he was Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire?at one point in his life. ? My mother told me as a child that?my Great?Great grandfather was 'rabbit boy' to the Duke of Wellington and I would like to find out which GGGrandfather it was. Where could I find records of the estate employees? The four gentlemen in question are: John Crook Winchcombe b. 1831 Ogbourne St George/Andrew, Oxfordshire (lived his married life in Berkshire may have moved there in childhood) William Abery b 1831? Ufton Nervet, Berkshire Elkanah Hutton b 1832 Bentworth, Hampshire Charles Parrant b 1839?Heckfield, Hampshire ? My money is on Charles Parrant as this family were employed as servants at Sandhurst Military Academy, Charles rising to?Butler ? Lliving in hope Yvonne ? Researching: Hutton, Batt, Parrant, Collis, Abery, Winchcombe, Buckle, ________________________________________________________________________ Get a FREE AOL Email account with 2GB of storage.
