In looking for a marriage for Richard GATCOMBE, in (or near) Chilbolton around 1725, I came across this one on a CD I had for Christmas 28 October 1724, in Whitchurch (or Overton), Hampshire, Richard GODCOME married Catherine MORRELL of Whitchurch (or Freefolk). I'm wondering if anyone on the list has the registers for Whitchurch (or Overton, although Philimore's shows the marriage as being in Whitchurch) and if so, could have a look at the entry to see if it gives any clues.
