Hi I can now Check A-D in the Allegations record. Ben
Hi Ben, Could you please look up any marriage allegations for COLEMAN? Thanks in advance. Veronica
Hi Thank you for the allegations I did find an ancestor, but it was just a name, however I believe he had two marriages, possibly, 14 September 1780, and a 2nd on May 15 1787 first wife Mary Bishop and Anne Packham. Any snippets I would be grateful for. Pamela ------------------------------------------------------------------------- FIGHT BACK AGAINST SPAM! Does anyone remember those little artificial "gardens" we used to make on trays; we always included a piece of mirror as a pond. I want to build one with my grandaughter when she comes to stay at the end of the week but I can't for the life of me remember what we used for grass and paths, trees and fences etc., I am sure someone out there must remember more than me!! All of you who are receiving lookups in the 1669-1837, If any of you find an entry that may be yours, I have some extra data such as (not in all cases) age at time of marriage, place of abode (many), bondsman, some parents where consent was required, affidavits and licences; (very few) let me know and I will check. If only you can help me... this ongoing search for my g/parents mar and thus my mothers birth cert if still driving me nuts. Anyone going to do any searches able to do a lookup for me at all. Or suggest a different approach to this. Looking for a birth cert of a Grace Edna EADES poss Aldershot around 1915. Parents Edwin EADES (1884) of Elvetham and Caroline Louisa nee JACKMAN (1881) of Woking Surrey I have her brother Edwin EADES jnr 1914 reg in Aldershot. I have a cert of a Grace Edna EDES bn Reading 1915 but of Parents Thomas and Louisa....EDES nee JACKMAN, but this doesn't look like it is her. However Edwin Snr's Father was Thomas, and Caroline's mother was Louisa so maybe I have to hang onto this just incase, although I know my mother was born 01st August. and this isn't the right month on this other cert. Complicated...cheers....Cher Melksham Wiltshire. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Some more XP tips for you all Chris and Caroline I like to take digital pictures and I end of with lots of photos on lots of floppies. They are all listed with duplicate letters and numbers for file names. I like to file them in my pictures and don't always want to name each file individually. I found a way to name them all quickly. I highlight the ones I want to rename (I am using XP)by clicking near one of them and drawing the box around them to highlight several files and then I right click on them and select rename. Then I type in a general name like yard and then click on a blank place near the file. After a little delay--it names all the files at once--like--yard, yard (1), yard (2) etc. It is a real time saver for me. ---------------------------------------- --- All of our Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. I suspect that William may be my great-granduncle as his DOB is quite close to my KNOWN great-granduncle William's DOB; their places of birth are the same; and the place of residence (Swanscombe) and place of marriage (Stone) is the same as my great-grandmother Sarah PACKMAN who married George GIBSON http://www.angelfire.com/journal2/shampayne2001/JimsFamily/index.htm >From the 1881 census 1 Alma Square, Swanscombe, Kent, England William GIBSON Head M Male 57 Bighton, Hampshire, England Invalid Sarah GIBSON Wife M Female 60 Stone, Kent, England Alice DAY Niece Female 6 Swanscombe, Kent, England Scholar William DAY Boarder U Male 24 Avington, Hampshire, England Labourer (I have also come across a marriage in the IGI at Stone, Kent, England 27 Sept 1851 between William GIBSON and Sarah MANTLE d/o Thomas SIMMONS and Sarah ANECK.)
