Thanks for the replies to my query on the Marsh/Bellinger family. Patsy - no, I don't have Benjamin & Ellen's marriage certificate but I'll send for it now I have the reference code. I'm not sure how I missed the I.G.I. marriage for William & Emma because I thought I had checked this source. Thanks Brian - I think the GRO reference for a Benjamin Simon Bleathman Marsh is the right one. I have a reference giving his name as Benjamin Simond Marsh. On my grandmother's birth certificate Benjamin is recorded as being a 'painter' but by the 1881 census he has become a 'plumber'. Yes I would like any more Bellinger/Marsh entries you have found from the 1861census. Thanks Gill

Mary was born in Stamshaw, Portsea. William Marsh, 50, Ship Carpenters Mate, Mary Ann Marsh, 45, Milliner, sons Edwin, 8, George, 5 and Charles, 1. All born Portsea, living at Miall ?? Brick field, St Marys Rd, Portsea.
