Help wanted. My ggrandparents were Benjamin Marsh & Ellen (nee Bellinger). Ellen died in childbirth when my grandmother Flora was born in 1872. The family were living in London at the time but I believe that Benjamin was born in Portsea abt. 1838 and Ellen was baptised in South Hayling in 1837. Her parents were William & Emma Bellinger. After the death of Ellen, Benjamin moved back to Portsea and remarried. Can anyone help with information about Benjamin's birth/baptism and parents. Also William & Emma's marriage/baptisms? Gill

Hello Gill - do you have their marriage registration/certificate? If not, the reference is 2b 593 June Q 1859, Portsea Island. This should give Benjamin's father's name. . Also, IGI has a marriage of a William BELLINGER to an Emma HORLOCK, 1824 South Hayling. Hope this is helpful.
