Hi all, Could someone please do a look up for me on the 1851 census for William Spencer - children were born in Bishop Sutton. I have them on the 1861 census in Bishop Sutton. William would be about 31 (give or take) but I have no idea where he was born, or his occupation, he had died by 1861. Thank you in advance. Joy

Hi Joy, I think the following may be your William Spencer:- HO 107/1678/117 William SPENCER, Head, Mar, Age 26, Occupation Painter, Born Hants, Medstead. Elizth " Wife, " Age 28, Born Hants, Old Alresford. Elizth " Daug, Age 5, Born Hants, Old Alresford. Samuel " Son, Age 1, Born Hants, Bishops Sutton. Mary " Daug, Age 2 months, Born Hants, Bishops Sutton. Medstead comes under the Alton registration district and Bishops Sutton, the Alresford district. Hope this helps.
