Hi Jon Just to say I have finally seen what the problem is and as I explained in a posting to the list, I did not see the the Ancestry search box because I knew the advert had to be there, so I sort of ignore it and do not see it anymore so in fact I thought you were all referring to a separate window coming up. However now I see the problem so have done what I think may work I just have to find a way to add some text in the same place on the flash introduction as it has been pointed out to me that new people might see that and enter in names whilst waiting for it to finish. Thanks for your patience Cheers Lesley Please visit my website:- http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~buriton/index.html ----- Original Message ----- From: "J P NIXEY" <jpnixey@btinternet.com> To: <HAMPSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, September 19, 2005 8:55 PM Subject: Re: [Ham] My Website > Hi Lesley > > I think the problem is that when we reach your site, there is a search > box. > This search box doesn't work on your site, but gives you ancestry results. > There is a first name and last name text area, with a search button. Hi Lesley, I could almost see you sat there pulling your hair out, wondering what the blazes were we going on about. It's very difficult on times to phrase it in a way that is easy and clear for others to understand, but, we finally made it between us! lol It's you who needs thanking for your patience, not us. It shouldn't be too difficult to add text to the opening page if you managed it to the next page in, all works on the same principle. I'm a web designer, but I don't use rootsweb hosting, so I'm just assuming this, and am probably getting it wrong! lol Once again, as so many others have said, thank you for all your time, effort and hard work in getting the transcripts done, you're a gem! take good care, and please, keep in touch OK? Very best wishes, Jon ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lesley C.
