    3. Hi Joy, Sorry if there was any confusion with the 1851 census information on your William SPENCER - all the children share this surname. It must be something to do with the way I typed the information in my message, as it looks quite different on the archives page. Here it is again - hopefully clearer now!! William SPENCER, head, mar, age 26, occupation Painter, born Hants, Medstead. Elizth. SPENCER, wife, age 28, born Hants, Old Alresford. Elizth. SPENCER, daug, age 5, born Hants, Old Alresford. Samuel SPENCER, son, age 1, born Hants, Bishops Sutton. Mary SPENCER, daug, age 2 months, born Hants, Bishops Sutton. Their address is given as "Village", Bishops Sutton Parish (in the area of Alresford). Cheers, Marie. ----- Original Message ----- From: "joy garrett" <joy.garrett@btopenworld.com> To: <HAMPSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, September 19, 2005 6:52 PM Subject: [Ham] 1851 Census Look Up > Hi Marie, > > Thank you very much for the quick response.
