    3. Just a little note by way of a big thank you to Edna for posting up the information on her friend's Cornwall Constabulary transcription, which appeared in last month's threads. Since reading Edna's submission, I've been popping back regularly to Liz Newbery's site and this morning found an entry for one of my "sticky enders". Liz posted back to me within the hour and, amid all the valuable service records, there was that crucial bit of information I'd been searching for - his date of death. In this person's case I'd figured out that he must have died sometime between 1871 and 1881 and the GRO Indices had come up with 4 likely contenders. With the information Liz has given me I'll be able to go ahead and order the correct certificate straight away, without having to take pot luck first. So, on top of everything else Liz has actually saved me some money!! To anyone else who had an ancestor in the Cornwall Constabulary between 1857 and 1967 I can only say "Give it a go". Its a great site and Liz is doing a grand job, updating her list all the time. I've already sent a thank you note to Liz and this one goes to Edna & Ken. Warm regards, Marie
