Hello Gill - like Jean I cannot see this Benjamin in 1851 no matter what search trick I use. Do you have an occupation for William the father? There are some William's in the area but an occupation might help to identify a match. Hi Patricia There were quite a number of men by the name of William Marsh in Portsea - probably related in some way. My gggrandfather William Marsh was a butcher when Benjamin was born in 1837 and a dockyard sawyer in 1859 when Benjamin married. His own parents were William & Fanny Marsh (mar. abt 1805 I think) Thanks for your interest in helping me out.
