    3. Hi Tony and Linda I wonder of you can help me with your 'Knight' hat on Harry Trussler was born in Binsted/Alton in 1884 He married Alice Knight in 1910. Alice was born about 1881? Harry went off to fight in WW1 and was unfortunately killed in Action on 30 Sep 1916 His Epitaph/Memorial entry on the CWGC site talks in terms of him being the husband of Alice Farr formerly Alice Trusler? From this, I initially deduced that somewhere between 1910 and 1916 Harry and Alice had separated and that she had then married a Mr Farr. I have now found a reference to an Alice Trusler marrying a Harry Farr in the March quartile in Alton in, wait for it, 1920 ie 4 years after Harry Trussler died! I am now assuming from this that Alice Trusler left her husband, Harry Trussler to live with Harry Farr but, although referred to in 1916 as Alice Farr, she didn't actually marry him until some years later. It all sounds so logical. Nevertheless I wondered if you were aware of this just in case I have got hold of the wrong end of the stick. Regards Peter Jones PS Incidentally, I do not know the parents of Alice Knight?

    3. Hi Peter I was going to write to you anyway but your message about Knights came up, so I have just tagged on to it to ask if Trussler and Tussler are interchangable, I have just found my Edith Ann Marriner married a Frederick Tussler (Blacksmith) from Elsted Ssx in 1888 if you are interested. I don't have the actually marriage, only the information that came from the 1901 census. They had 5 children with them.
