By all means get a new program and benefit from its improved facilities, but consider continuing to use your old one under XP by running it in "Compatibility mode" alongside whatever new program you select. I run a few old programs in this way, without any problem at all. When you have installed XP, use the Help facility to search on "compatibility mode" (exclude the quotes, of course). It's very simple, and will enable you not to cut yourself off from the old program, and, of course all your old data. As a belt-and-braces operation, find a way of extracting your valuable data from you old program - as a CSV file, for example.
