Hello Mike it appears that Amy was born in Portsmouth and James West Wittering Sussex and also a generation difference not that it matters. Hard to tell for sure unless James BARBER is related to George Thomas BARBER ie brothers as George appears to be born Hayling Island not many miles away. We will send some more info as we have BARBERs although related through marriage but the children further down are related) Some of the names are similar to yours. Maria MONTGOMERY in West Wittering, 1870. In 1874 Amy Martha BARBER of Albert Road, Portsmouth married Maria MONTGOMERY's brother John MONTGOMERY in Portsea.
