Hi Ray, Looking at the Index of Surnames in the 1851 Census of West Surrey, the surname of CHRISTMAS/CHRISMAS/CRISTMAS can be found in Abinger, Farnham, Godalming, Guildford St. Mary's, Pepper Harrow Godalming, Weybridge, Windlesham, Woking, Fetcham. As you can see CHRISTMAS is not an uncommon surname. I went to school in Guildford with a Jean CHRISTMAS and knew her parents who lived not far from me.
