    3. Hi Tony and Linda I know my wife's uncle charlie Albray put his age on when he entered the army. When he died in 1947, his age reflected how many years he had added, as the military records said he was 30. On his headstone though, his wife gave the correct age of 27. As he was born in 1919, I'd imagine he joined the army quite close to the beginning of WW2. I don't think I have his enrollment papers to know exactly when he joined though.
