    3. Hi Lesley, I don't know if your problem is the same as mine was, which was the bleeding of ink through the paper used in the original Parish record. I had to get enlarged photocopies off the fische and thank goodness that the ministers handwriting sloped at 45 degrees (as mine does) because I snowpacked out all the backward sloping writing (ie that which had seeped (bled) through from the other side) leaving only (most of) the writing on the side that I wanted to retain. You may not have had the bleeding (no, not the bloody problem as I'm sure that you wanted to call it at times) through the paper, but I would recommend enlarging the doc as much as possible from the fische. Kind regards, Ray Christmas, New Zealand. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lesley C. 3. Hi Ray No, bleeding from the other side is not the problem, it is just very very faint, it is just visible I thought it might be a bit clearer on the original if it is possible to view them. After I sent the email, I realized I should have explained all that, but it was too late to do so. Probably the fact I put unreadable has frightened most people off, however your idea is a very good one and I think I will collect the relevant fiche and take them to my local LDS where they have a fiche copying machine, I am just not real sure just how much they can blow it up, but it's worth a try. Thanks for that. 3. Hello again Lesley, I would suggest, but it's a long shot, is to use a lead pencil to follow the the lines of the faint words on the blown up photocopy to see if what you can make out in this way makes sense in terms of similar style to the other entries on legible pages. You may have to do this a few times on enlarged photocopies. You may also try getting the enlarged photocopy scanned into a computer and I'm pretty sure there's a way of getting the background, if not taken away leaving the faint writing more 'resolved', then at least dampened down. Speak to a computer expert. Kind regards, Ray Christmas, New Zealand. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lesley C. 3. Hello again, I should have mentioned that you will probably have to get the LDS to give you an ordinary sized photocopy (as my LDS did) and take it to a photocopying outfit for enlargement. I remember on my last visit to UK, Tescos provided the machine but it was self service (that was in Salisbury) Kind regards, Ray Christmas, New Zealand. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lesley C.
