    3. Hi Mary Margaret I might be able to help you as I live in North Wales .. near the border with Flintshire. Ormskirk is quite close to Flintshire and so it is a reasonable possibility that he did live across the border at some point in his life. By the way, my UK atlas only lists a Flint (town) and a Flintshire (county) in Wales... none in Scotland or England. Do you have any further information about him as I do sometimes visit the Denbighshire Record Office (which also has the Flintshire records as the 2 counties were one administrative region until a few years ago). I checked the 1881 census just in case he was listed but the only Harry Home I found in Wales was living in Bedwelty Monmouth (South Wales) and born in Crickhowell, Brecknock (also South Wales) aged 17 and a railway porter. The only ones I found in Lancashire were:- Harry Home aged 4 living at Bolton-le-Sands and Harry Hume aged 1 living at Gorton, Manchester In answer to your query about cricket teams .. yes there were cricket teams in Flintshire in the 19th century. Let me know if I can help you with your quest. Gill
