I find messages with absolutely no context e.g. "Sorry, I couldn't find him" can be less than helpful - particularly if the subject line is less than explicit. But definitely signatures, greetings and footers - both the Rootsweb one and the ones added by ISPs and anti-virus software should go! Thanks for all your efforts in the family history arena, Karen
