    3. Ahhh....just seeing pictures like that makes me really want to go back to England and just travel around. My husband and I visited in 1997 (he was born there (Hastings) and I was born here in Victoria (as were my parents)) and had a wonderful time. I'm really hoping that in a few years, when our daugthers are just a little bit older, we can take a family holiday there and visit all these neat historical places - particularly those areas where our ancestors lived. Hi I have been following your list for some time but wondered if anyone could tell me who the chief landowner was in the 1800s. Do any records still exist for this area as my family farmed a large farm called Manor Farm at Ropley. I believe that the Manor Farm was inhabited by another branch of the Stubbs family although I am not sure which one. Before that they lived at North Street, Ropley, and were concerned with farming then. Any information would be quite helpful please. regards JUDY ELKINGTON [W.R.Yorkshire, England] www.elkingtonfamily.com [email protected] www.one-name.org/profiles/elkington.html For FREE online parish register transcriptions visit the Hampshire OPC at www.knightroots.co.uk ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message For FREE online parish register transcriptions visit the Hampshire OPC at www.knightroots.co.uk ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
