They had three children, George, James and William Isaac. I am also researching the Shirley Family from the Holdenhurst area. The first I have is John Shirley born 1814. He married Ann Coombs (born in Wiltshire in 1814). They had four children Charlotte, John, Henry and Mary. Any information would be gratefully received. It is unlikely that a birth in 1798 would be recorded as being in Redhill Surrey, that's the one about eight miles from Epsom, because it didn't exist back then. It began life as a stop on the London to Brighton railway to serve Reigate which is about a mile away. The registration district would have been Reigate or East Surrey. I am unable to find a Redhill in Hampshire, although there is a Redhill Farm near Godshill on the Isle of Wight!
