I am having some difficulty sorting out two marriages. Can skp please look up the following on the 1851 census and/or the Hampshire marriage index William Bell born 1803 in Southampton and married to Charlotte? Born 1805 and died 1861 William Bell born 1807 in Alresford and married to Charlotte born 1810 and died 1884 Southampton There is quite a confusion between these two couples which has led us into two entirely different directions and all of claiming the same children. I think the first one listed born 1805 Charlotte Muxworthy and the second one listed Charlotte born 1810 is Charlotte Ray. I can not find a William Bell born Southampton born 1803 on the 1851 or 1861 census with or without a Charlotte with the correct age, nearest is William Bell widow born Cadnam 1805. I have found on the 1851 a William Bell 43 (1807/8) born alresford with wife Charlotte 44 (1806/7)born Southampton, son James 10 born Salisbury Wiltshire.
