    3. Is anyone researching the name CONNOR in Hampshire, possibly the Fareham area? I have JAMES CONNOR who married Mary AnnCouzens on 6 October 1817 in Fareham. They had the following children baptised in Fareham (all info from IGI): MARY ANN, 1820 (my ancestor); JAMES EDWARD, 1822; JOHN ARTIMUS, 1824; AGNES AUGUSTA, 1826; AMOS WILLIAM, 1829, STEPHEN, 1831. Apart from Mary Ann, the only other information I have is for Agnes Augusta, on the 1851 census in Liverpool with her uncle and aunt, John & Charlotte Shields. She subsequently married in Liverpool. There is a marriage for John Artimus on Free BMD in 1846 in Southampton, partner unknown, but no definite census listing. I have no definite information on the other children, except for AMOS WILLIAM, who was a witness at the wedding of his niece ELIZA EDMUNDS, daughter of Mary Ann and husband Richard Edmunds, on 12 May 1867 in Shoreditch, London. It puzzles me that I cannot find him on any censuses. I suspect that he dropped the Amos from his name and is listed somewhere under William Connor but there are too many to be sure. Unfortunately I have misplaced the notes I made years ago which showed that JAMES CONNOR was a Tinsmith/Whitesmith/Brazier on High Street, Fareham, sometime in the 1840s. I am sure I got this information from a Hampshire Directory. Does anyone have any information on JAMES CONNOR and/or any of his children, please? Yvonne in Wales
