I checked the birth index on ancestry for Q3 1877 and found the following: ALBERY Mary Louisa District: Petersfield Volume: 2c Page: 134 There is no record for ALBURY in that quarter of that year. I shall send you the image off-list just in case. Regards, Angie Hi Angie, Up until Nellie's surname was spelt ALBURY. That is the spelling on her wedding cert. However I have not been able to find anyone of that name born during 18700-1880 I've had to try all variations of that name. Just recentlty the name NELLY AULBERY has cropped up that appears to tick most of the boxes. I've traced her from 1881 and 1891 census and now need to find where she was in 1901. She appears to be somewhat reluctant to appear on that census. Thank you also for the copy of the birth index. Her christian name has never been in doubt so unfortunately that is not her. My main thrust now is that missing census with sideway glances at the married & death indexes. I fully appreciate all the interest and help you've given me. Many thanks - Anthony > On Mar 6, 2008, at 1:33 PM, <[email protected]> <[email protected]> > wrote: > > > Hi Folks, > > NELLIE ALBURY was married in 1901.On the certificate she gave her > > age as 26.
