Hello List, I am researching the Hunt families from Portsea Island. I am looking for the parents and siblings of course of William Hunt born 1835c Andover, his brother Henry Richmond Hunt b 1840c Andover. I am presuming they are brothers because in one census Henry is living with William's wife family as a lodger. I know I shouldn't presume but... I can't find either in the 1841 nor 1851 census. Can anyone help ? I live in Australia so can't get to see parish records. I also live in the country of West Aust, so also unable to get to the Library in Perth to see records. The local LDS is over 50 kms away and is not wheelchair friendly, so I rely on the net and of course BDM's certificates. Would be grateful for any help. I do btw use Ancestry.co.uk to its full use!! Hi Trish, Have you made a mistake and the area is Chertsey Surrey and not Portsea. I look on I.G.I. and there is a family with a son Henry Richard Hunt born 15th July 1840 but was deceased by 1841. I will send census off list.
