Is there, was there, an Alfred St. in Portsea (or Odiham) circa 1901? Thanks, Edna - Ottawa

As Liverpud has said, there is an Alfred Road in Portsmouth, it is a part of the designated A3 (London to Portsmouth Road) - an e-mail to the local studies library might determine whether there was either a street of that name formerly in another location on the island, or whether the road was simply changed from street at some point in history. I can find no current Alfred street in Odiham, Hook or anywhere close - although there is another Alfred road in Farnham, which is not far away but over the border into Surrey.
