Researching my CARD Ancestors, (supposedly of Romsey Hampshire) Just wondered if anyone has ever had relatives marrying in Wiltshire and having borths in Hampshire and vice versa, must have happened, I find a few CARD events in Wiltshire which seem to be Hampshire CARD's.     3. Hi Graeme, a bit remote, though still of Hampshire.   A certain 'Carde', huntsman to the Abbott of Beaulieu, was fined for killing with hounds a sorel (3rd-year buck) and hind calf in September 1492.   The name Card was Old French (via Norman) and meant 'teazle-head'.   Regards, David
