    3. H John, I have come across the 60th Regiment of Foot in Quebec as being a regiment formed of American Loyalists who came to Canada. There is a 67 ? Regiment which was called the South Hampshire Regiment. From a Wikepedia Article on British Regiments of Foot: 60th Regiment of Foot (Royal American Regiment of Foot/The King's Royal Rifle Corps Regiment of Foot) I hope this is some help, Joan >

    3. Thanks Joan. As far as I have been able to gather the 60th was indeed an 'American' regiment and it recruited in Holland & Belgium. I suspect 'my' Bollaert was with the 5th battalion - but I don't know where the records are, if they still exist.
