    3. Hi, My gg grandfather was Frederick Charles DYETT, born Hampshire 04 Feb 1818 to Noah DYETT and Harriet MUNDAY who were married 24 June 1816 at Whitchurch. I am interested in hearing from either line. I believe that Frederick may have had siblings and information on them would reinforce a family story. I am aware of Frederick's life once he came to New Zealand in 1854 and am happy to share. regards Bruce Holm Christchurch, New Zealand

    3. Hello Bruce - I guess you have seen the Noah DYETT in London in 1841? His wife is not Harriet but I notice that a daughter called Harriet was baptised to this couple in 1824. Both Noah and wife Mary Ann are 'not born in county' in 1841 and Noah is a carpenter. There are a number of other baptisms but only two children with them in this census. I don't see them in 1851 unfortunately but there is a death registration for a Noah DYET in London, 1850. The son, George Noah Richard DYET appears to have married in East London in 1854, probably to Mary Ann PORTER and is living in Cripplegate in 1861, a house carpenter. The daughter Elizabeth Martha DYET married in Hackney in 1859 possibly to George Edward MUNT. Elizabeth M MUNT died 1866 reg Lambeth. In 1871 George, a bricklayer, is living in Hackney with son George aged 13. Could be food for thought? 3. Bruce - we've corresponded before. I don't have a connection to your Noah, but if you have one to my John DYETT (b. c1811, m. Dianna HASKELL) I'd be interested. Cheers Alan Brisbane
