hi folks, a technical glitch at freeBMD FreeBMD Deaths: Jun 1844 BEVIS Hirgn, Fareham VII-57 [transcr. by CANVEY - Susan Walker] The wrong scan image comes up comes up when you click on the specs The resulting page covers BOTTING - BOWDEN. no way that can include BEVIS. However, just try to report a simple correction like that! their fault reporting system just doesn't want to know. Maybe someone who knows a FreeBMD transcriber dealing with Hampshire might like to feed this fault into the works. I suspect the forename HIRGN is really HUGH and is a transcription error from the original register but without access to that, there's not much one can do about it. cheers foolk le durachd Fionnghal
All you have to do is click on the Reject button lower on the page and it reports the problem. Did you notice that the second image called up was the correct one? It looks more like Hiram to me. I submitted a correction but it takes a while to work through the system.
