Hello Michael Not answering your question - but just in case you don't know of the Hampshire Record Centre on-line catalogue, at: http://calm.hants.gov.uk/DServe/ I can see reference there to the Rev H T Hughes's induction mandate at Emery Down and Hartley Wespall (the more recent) and also to a letter written by him: FindingNo 21M65/I/2/A/96 Title Emery Down: documents concerning the benefice income and in particular the money left in trust to the Governors of Queen Anne's Bounty under the terms of Admiral Boultbee's will Date 1889-1894 Description Comprises: copy letters from the Governors of Queen Anne's Bounty, 16-19 Nov 1889; copy extract of the will, nd; a letter from the Revd Herbert T Hughes, 14 Jan 1894 Also finding 143M83/PZ1 apparently includes a photograph of him whilst vicar at Emery Down 1880 - 1890. Maybe there's more. Hope that helps Rod - (researching GARNETT and FRYER amongst others in Hampshire)
