Guy AS Tony & Linda said, it is more likely Blachford. I have a different Christabella Blachford, b1774 in Fordingbridge, married into my Hayter line (James Hayter, 1795, Fordingbridge). I would hazard a guess that Your Christabella is the niece of mine, but this would need to be checked. My Christabella was the daughter of Robert Blachford and the wonderfully named Elizabeth Pickax!! A number of witnesses give you the names of other family members to investigate and so checking the 1841 and 1851 census may give additional clues. We would think the OPC entry more reliable than the IGI given that the marriage is a member submission - whoever submitted it can't spell Fordingbridge either! Linda & Tony -----Original Message----- Subject: [HAM] Robert Skinner and Christabella Blackford Robert SKINNER, born ca. 1791 in Fordingbridge, married Christabella BLACKFORD in Fordingbridge on 6th June 1830, and they produced seven children, William (1831), Marianne (1832), Kate (1834), Charles (1836), John Robert (1839), Tom Francis (1840), and Edward (1843), all baptised in Fordingbridge. Can anyone help with Robert and Christabella's ancestry, please? Guy Palmer subject and the body of the message
