HI, I am trying to find a possible Marriage of Edward John White to Ann Maria , I have found his name on a grave in Highland road Cemetery in Portsmouth, also Ann Maria. I cant be sure but it looks like 1898. He was a Queens Pilot in the Portsmouth Dockyard, unfortunately nothing appears on Ancestry census. Regards Martin

PS: Free BMD shows a marriage lst Qtr 1874... Edna - Ottawa

Hi, On the 1891 census they are on RG12/872/17/27 - showing they were born in Devon/Cornwall, and he is a master on a tug. He was born in Cawsand - near Plymouth so I think this is his marriage on FreeBMD Jan-Mar 1874 Plymouth 5b 425 - showing Ann Maria Hoskin on the same page. This ties in with the census showing his eldest child James being 16 years old in 1891. His death is also on FreeBMD in 1898, aged 44. Hope this is the right person.
