    3. 23th.October 2005 Hi Patricia - many thanks. It seems printers moved around, which makes sense. The 35 St.Johns Road, St.Johns, Winchester, SPENCER Census Entry for 1901 and the 1896 Marriage Entry for Henry Joseph SPENCER and Rose Francis PAICE coincide with 'vague' family memories. There was a St.Johns connection. My Grandfather (Henry) also called his wife Rose. Enoch SPENCER may indeed be Henry's father. Again many thanks. James married a Sarah (surname unknown) and they lived in Millbrook/ Hampshire. I have found a number of records that give different names for the children of James and Sarah - so that can only mean that there were two James and Sarah Bullpitts from that time. Their son, Harry or William Henry was my ancestor. His son, Harry Percival, is my great grandfather. .... and there are no snowflakes in Bundaberg - ever...... so kind of a confusing analogy there Don! Kind regards, Melissa

I have traced my family back to a James Bulpitt born in approximately 1819, but am unable to find anything more than that. My family are all from the Bundaberg area in Queensland Australia now, so perhaps that will help? Kind regards, Melissa

    2. Paul Eggleton
    3. I've been pursuing the name of PRICKTOE/PRICTOE and occassionally PRESTOE. This is a very scarce surname so I've been extracting all of the records that I can from the internet. Jane PRICTOE was my ggg g/m born Knights Enham 1836. The name is almost exclusively from that area. I have visited the LDS library and extracted most of the Andover records and have linked most of the PRICKTOE family. Thanks to "The Genealogist" I have been trawling through the BMDs since 1837 and have reached 1960 so far. Thanks to ancestry I have from 1851 through 1901 censuses (although unfortunately they have taken the 1851 offline for a while). I have found several "cousins" through the Hants list and also the Wilts list, as some of the line went over the border to the Hungerford district. One other line went to Brentford. I would be very interested in any knowledge of living Prictoes because they are almost certain to be linked to the tree that I have created and Iwould love to get in touch with them. Offshoots from this line in the Andover area are BULPIT, FISHER,WEEKS, BIRD and two lines of SMITH Paul

    3. Help wanted. My ggrandparents were Benjamin Marsh & Ellen (nee Bellinger). Ellen died in childbirth when my grandmother Flora was born in 1872. The family were living in London at the time but I believe that Benjamin was born in Portsea abt. 1838 and Ellen was baptised in South Hayling in 1837. Her parents were William & Emma Bellinger. After the death of Ellen, Benjamin moved back to Portsea and remarried. Can anyone help with information about Benjamin's birth/baptism and parents. Also William & Emma's marriage/baptisms? Gill

    3. Just for interest - here in Nelson, New Zealand we are commemorating the 200th as well. We have a 4 x GGrandson of Horatio Lord Nelson with us for the events and we are opening a brand new regional museum this weekend as well. Our feature opening exhibition features Nelson and the highlights of his career plus much more - the exhibition is wonderful. Anyone coming our way in the next few months - we'd love to see you.
