    3. Brian Thanks for 1861 entries. At the moment I'm not sure if any relate to my family but time will tell. Bob Likewise, I don't know if your Ellen Bellinger is related but she is definitely not my ggrandmother because she was born about 1837 (South Hayling),(or if the 1861 census age is right then about 1840, Portsea). I need to recheck this. Gill North Wales UK

    3. Mary Fisher, together with Ann Austin actually visited Barbados in 1655. We have just restored the Cliff Burial Ground in St. Philip parish. It contains eight family vaults carved into the coral 'cliff' and visitors can now see a lead coffin in one of the vaults. It was used between 1670 and 1792. Have you tried research at the Society of Friends Library in Euston Road, London? They have kept comprehensive records since 1654 and their library was founded in 1673. 3. Hello Gill - do you have their marriage registration/certificate? If not, the reference is 2b 593 June Q 1859, Portsea Island. This should give Benjamin's father's name. . Also, IGI has a marriage of a William BELLINGER to an Emma HORLOCK, 1824 South Hayling. Hope this is helpful. 2. Dear all Anyone have any ties to Portsea MILLETs? I have a Thomas Daniel MILLET b.1856, married Phoebe(Bishop) 1877. Children Thomas(Willie?) b.1878, Emma Ida b.1886, Ethel Beatrice b. 1884, Florence Rebecca b.1881, William Henry V. b.1888, Henry b.1890. All in Portsea. Can't seem to find birth record for Thomas senior, though the name is mis-spelled very often. Also having problem finding Thomas senior's father without ordering marriage certificate. So thought I'd give this a try. Any links with this family please let me know. Best regards and thanks Sarah

    3. Hi Gill In the 1861 census Benjamin Marsh was 23, a Painter, living at 10, Chapel View, Portsea with wife Ellen, 21, and son George B, ( Benjamin ??) 2. All born Portsmouth, George B was born Dec. Qtr 1859 2b/312. The only Marsh I can find for that timeframe on the GRO is for Benjamin Simon Bleathman Marsh, Dec Qtr 1837 7/90. Have a few more Bellinger & Marsh family from the 1861 census if you want them.
