I see there was a reunion of this Family at eastliegh a year or two ago so I assume there is a keen family historian somewhere who was the diving force behind that. Can anyone put me in touch please - it seems I have Tilley genes too!! -----Original Message----- From: HAMPSHIRE-D-request@rootsweb.com [mailto:HAMPSHIRE-D-request@rootsweb.com] Sent: 12 January 2006 07:00 To: HAMPSHIRE-D@rootsweb.com Subject: HAMPSHIRE-D Digest V06 #13 -- No virus found in this incoming message. Hi Sally - do you have them in the censuses? I see the MILSOMs in Hampshire in 1851 1861 and 1871 and the JONES family in Wales in 1851. Happy to post details if you don't already have them. Hello List, My great grandmother Mary Moody was born 31-12-1853 at Noman's Land in the New Forest to Charles Moody and Louisa nee Dibden. Are there any Dibden relatives around who would like to exchange family history? Are there any descendants of Cornelius Snook who was born 1848 at West End, Southampton, the son of John Snook and Elizabeth nee Dundee? I am descended from his brother, Richard and am having problems with Elizabeth Dundee (did she fib about her age when she got married?) Regards Barbara Mcdonald Maryborough, Victoria Australia
Hi. Yes, I have the Milsoms in the censuses, but need the JONES entry for 1851 in Wales and where they were in 1841. I believe they must have married in Southampton,HAM abt 1837-1840. Jane Milsom's whole family was in the Southampton area by then so figure that she was home for marriage to David JONES. By 1841, they had a daughter Jane b. Southampton 1839 I believe. Thanks for the reply. Hrllo Trevor yes this is the right list and welcome to the list. Linda and Tony My interests are the OSBORNE (earlier USBORN) & AYLES families of the Holdenhurst/ Moordown/ Winton areas of Bournemouth. The time period under consideration is mid-18th to late-19th century(ies). Can anyone tell me if I should stay on this list, or should I switch to the Dorset list? Or is there a Bournemouth list?? Cheers, Trevor
