    2. I agree whole heartedly with the comment below, especially with the part it's on your credit card and they refuse to take it off, siting you have 30 days, but they don't understand it takes 30 days for it to appear then your 30 days is up. Saying that, once they get the 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 census indexed then the census part will be great. For the time being the states I'm looking at has not downloaded books, marriages, deaths and wills. So you will still need to go to the library. Even though their advertisements say all states are available for 1930 I can only find about 5. They maybe available but not loaded for public viewing. I have found things in the 1850, 1860 1870 census that saved a trip to the library only because the only way to find this family was to look at every page and I have accessed the family search and it has been very helpful. Having a dialup connection has been timely, but once DSL is connected I should see a difference in loading time. To answer you question the cost is minimal, considering the cost per day in time saved, traffic, parking, access time waiting for a microfilm reader or sometimes I have had to wait for a roll of film, etc in going to a library. At least with ancestry.com I can have a coke or coffee at the same time not so at the library.
