Surnames: Hamilton, O'Brien Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/xFh.2ACEB/3386 Message Board Post: Alexander Hamilton born ca 1814 and sisters Ellen born about 1813 and Mary,born ca 1820 emigrated from Ireland in the 1830s. Alexander was a stone mason and married Ellen O'Brien in Kingston in 1839. Mary married Robert Lindsay, and Ellen remained unmarried. I just found Ellen in the 1861 Kingston census stating she was born in Armagh Ireland. WHOOPEE!!!! Now we have a location in Ireland after a 37 year search! There may be other siblings. Children's names include Robert, William, John, James, Ellen, Eliza, Josephine,Sarah,& George Anyone know this family. I just fond that Armagh has about 100,000 parishes-groan. Pat in Alberta, Canada
