Firstly I must thank those who were kind enough to send the information that I was looking for on the gentleman listed below; I believe that Vere Hamilton is my direct ancestor and am delighted to find out where and when he was buried. Saintfield Church of Ireland Graveyard County: Down Country: Ireland Hamilton Erected by John Hamilton of Belfast in memory of his father Vere Hamilton who died 06 Mar 1759 aged 49 years I am now hoping that someone else might know something more about this man, his family and or other Hamiltons living in this area who may prove to be related. I am as always very grateful for any help and advice that is offered. It is so hard to do research in Ireland while living so far away. Thank you all, Chris
