Looking for information about my Grandfather, Alexander Hamilton, born in Elwood Illinois in 1882. His father's name was James Robert Hamilton. My Grandfather, Alexander, was reported to have served aboard the USS Oregon. He died in an Army hospital in Portland Oregon on November 5, 1941. He had married Linda Cameron. They had 6 children, Robert (Bob), William (Bill), Fay Alexander (Bud), Peggy, Stella, and Roger (Butch). Believe he worked in lumber camps after the service.
