My father is Group B, H-045. He shares a mutation at 464b with the Lisdivin Hamilton that no one else, except his Hamilton cousins, in Group B has. My paper research had already lead me to believe that we were some how related to the Ballyfatton Hamiltons, then the Lisdivin Hamilton joined the study and confirmed my hypothesis. I have not had much success researching the Hamiltons of Priestfield. Have you seen this internet site? http://www.breadyancestry.com/index.php?id=34 There is a scholarly work under publications... this quote is from chapter three: The third freeholder in Dunnalong was Hugh Hamilton of Lisdovin - present-day Lisdivin - and he was a man of some substance. This Hugh Hamilton was the son of John Hamilton of Priestfield in Blantyre. Is this consistent with the research you mention?
